Adjusting the pole for each layer

When building the igloo, the pole length adjustments are made on the lower pole that is in the Socket Pole. The lower pole has numbers you can read because they are on the top of the pole assembly and they are visible. The numbers on the upper pole are on the bottom of the pole assembly and are not visible.
To prevent loosening the stake, it is best if the shoveler holds the form up in the air so it will move freely when the inside person adjusts the pole length.

Adjust the pole length when centered on the center block of the ramp from the previous layer. When adjusting the pole length, there needs to be an in-between adjustment between the previous layer and the next layer.
When adjusting the length for the center block of the ramp, choose a hole that is approximately half way between the hole for the previous layer and the next layer.
When building the third block of the ramp, change the pole length to the numbered hole that corresponds to the layer you have just reached.
There is not always a hole that is in between the numbered holes of the two layers you are between on the second block of the ramp and in these cases make the adjustment from the previous layer to the next layer and then then shorten the upper pole by one hole for the center block of the ramp. Then, on the third block of the ramp, extend the upper pole out again to the last hole in the pole.
Basically, there needs to be an in-between adjustment for the center block of the ramp and stopping in alternate holes, shortening the top pole or even leaving the Toggle Handle untoggled can achieve a position or length of pole that works for the center block of the ramp.
